As per ASTM D 1238 & ISO 1133 - (Test Method A) to check the melt flow rate (MFR) of thermoplastics and compounds with auto cutting of flowing extrudate and prelogic facility.

The KAYJAY/2006/AC Melt Flow Index Tester is a digital, semi-automatic MFI tester engineered for polymer manufacturers, plastic pipe producers and quality testing laboratories who need reliable, repeatable melt flow rate measurement without operator dependence on cutting. Built strictly to ASTM D 1238 and ISO 1133 Test Method A, it determines the melt flow rate (MFR) of thermoplastics and compounds in grams per 10 minutes.

The model features motorised auto-cutting of the flowing extrudate and a built-in prelogic program. The complete test cycle — preheating time, reject time, test time and number of cuts — can be preset, so once the temperature stabilises the machine runs the full sequence automatically and produces the required sample cuts at exact time intervals. This eliminates timing errors caused by manual cutting and gives lab-to-lab reproducible results.
